I can hardly believe my little boy is already 5 months old! He is growing so quickly...right before our eyes, it's really quite amazing to watch. He has become
very inquisitive and active. He multi-tasks in his
exer-saucer with all the different activities, tries to grab my glass when I drink (I've definitely been spilled on because of the dive-and-grab-with-no-fear move of his), he is infatuated with his feet, stands on his own when leaning against the back of the couch, recognizes Mommy and Daddy (and gives us a BIG SMILE when we come back in the room), knows that
Easton is his puppy and that he wants to pet him (or grab his fur with all his might), wakes us up sometimes
jibber-jabbing with his animals along his crib, and gives us nice, slobbery *kisses* on the cheek/chin. He giggles a bit more, but Kasey is really the only one who has gotten a good, whole-hearted, extended laugh out of him -- I can get close, but she was a pro. James also
knows what is happening when we fill his bottle up with water and wants that bottle
NOW! Such a smart boy...pretty amazing what he's learned in only 5 short months :-) We love you James E!!!!
James loves to go sit out on the screened in porch and look at the trees...there's just something about being outside.

Jim and I decided to upgrade our bed this year -- to a king! Woo
Hoo! We found the frame on sale at
Bassett Furniture, which is going out of business (I was
uber surprised to find something we liked still there, sweet) and the mattress at American Mattress (hooray for repeat customer discount). I tell you what, Burlington Coat Factory is the place to shop for new bedding -- half the price as at Kohl's (just have to see how it holds up).

James has become very steady in his
bebe Pod seat, which is how Jim and I have been able to eat dinner here lately. I wait until dinner is plated, put him in there and
scarf it down (which, is actually really hard for me, I am not a fast eater, that's Jimmy's thing). The nice thing about this chair is that the toy comes out and there is a
place mat to put on the tray for when he starts to eat solid foods (less than a month away) and it travels and cleans easily.
